A modern day Shillibeer in the snow

Are you available in snow?

Yes. This photograph presents an example of where the deceased's best friend sat beside him in the snow. When cold Funeral Directors often lead in a pace car as a Top Hat and Tails are not suitable in such weather. This presents a unique and sensitive opportunity for mourners to share that final ride. An intimate and deeply personal experience.

"We were courting on a motorbike and sidecar over fifty years ago"
"I've never been on a motorbike with my Grandma before"
"I told her I'd get her on a bike with me"  Gentleman referring to his 93 year old mum!
"We always wanted to get a Harley Together"
"Give it some then"
"He was by my side the whole way"

Are you British?

Yes, our bikes are British designed, built in the Midlands, owned and Isle of Man TT tested! We do all engineering and fitting here in the UK. When our Hayabusa was rebuilt in 2006 to 'Brit Spec' we did it with the advice of Vincent sidecar racers and our Harley Davidson Hearse was reengineered by a Brit to cope with the weights and strains.

Are you near us?

Yes. These proper British bikes are run by professional riders who cover all of the UK and even provide island motorcycle funerals.

Is this unique?

Yes. The UK has no other fleet of 'motorcycle' hearses. Our unique enclosed hearse has design rights with a full British Patent and full US Patent. No other company offers this service.

Can we have a non-religious service?

Yes. Most families use their local Vicar, Priest, Non-Religious Celebrant, Pagan, Humanist or other. No matter what type of service you have Motorcycle Funerals provide a dignified final ride.

Are you sensitive?

Are you smart?

Yes. Immaculate, smart and appropriate.  In all we do we aim to maintain dignity.

Child may sit beside a parent or grandparent on motorcycle funerals

Can a child sit beside the deceased?

Yes. On public roads a child's feet must reach the footrests and a correctly fitting helmet worn. If the child is too small we can stop at the cemetery gate and help the child to get on there.

Are you professional?

Yes. Britain's only fleet of motorcycle hearses are complimented with trained and experienced riders from bereavement care and funeral directing backgrounds. The combined years of professional funeral service amounts to over 150 years. Motorcycle Funerals Limited are members of the Funeral Furnishing Manufacturers Association (FFMA), National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) and our Managing Director is also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists who was trained in funerals at LJ Butler and Son in Middlesex.
